Timeline for the Fusion Energy Solutions Taskforce
Call for solutions opens
Mon, Jul 22, 2024 to Sun, Aug 18, 2024 (Youth category) and Sun, Sept 1, 2024 for regular submissions
Submissions are open for the themes:
Enhancing the global marketplace for fusion energy
Building a diverse and global workforce
Improving public education & engagement in fusion energy
Youth submission in any of the three themes above
Participants submit slide deck presentations addressing one or more problem statements. A jury of technical and business experts will evaluate the submissions and select those that will advanced to the second phase. Deadline for submissions is August 18, 2024.

Live pitching session to the jury
Virtual session will be held mid-late September - exact day and time to be confirmed.
Select participants will be invited to present their idea to the jury during a live pitching session. The exact day, time and location of the event to be confirmed.
Announcement of Youth Category Winner
Targeted date is Friday, Sep 20, 2024
A representative from the Youth category winning team will be invited to a special event at the UN Summit of the Future in New York City. Date, time and location to be announced shortly.

A representative from the winning team for each of the three categories will be invited to a special event at the UN Climate Change Conference.
